致密剛玉是采用高純氧化鋁粉和還原劑按一定配比在電弧爐內經高溫熔融后冷卻而成的，顏色為淺灰色，具有良好的抗酸堿性能、較高的熔點、相當高的體積密度及其非常低的氣孔率、在高溫下具有優良的耐磨性、抗渣性、體積穩定性和抗熱震性能，廣泛用于鋼鐵冶金,石油化工,建材陶瓷等行業,主要用作高爐出鐵溝耐火搗打料,澆注料的骨料,也是制作煉鋼長水口,滑板和各種剛玉磚的理想原料。
Dense fused alumina is mainly refined with high purity alumina powder and reducing agent at a certain ratio as the main raw material, melted in the electric arc furnace with high temperature before cooling. It has light grey color with good acid-base resistance, higher melting point, high bulk density and very low porosity, with the characteristics of good abrasive resistance, slag resistance, bulk stability, and thermal shock resistance under high temperature. It is widely used in ferrous metallurgy, petrochemical, building and ceramic industries, used as the aggregates of refractory ramming materials and castables, and also the ideals raw materials of manufacturing steel long spout, sliding plates and various corundum bricks.
